In rhinoplasty there are some important aspects in my approach and philosophy:
- A natural result after rhinoplasty is more beautiful than a nose clearly operated on. After surgery there must be a better fit of the nose to the face. Therefore, the surgeon must take into account ethnicity and cultural background in supervising and treating clients.
- The perfect nose does not exist. One of the beauties of the face is the diversity. With such variaties it would be wrong to aim for the same nose for each client.
- Do no harm. A rhinoplasty is an elective procedure. Therefore it is extremely important that the operation is carried out safely and without any risks.
- Structure provides a permanent result. Traditional techniques in rhinoplasty can lead to weak bones and weak cartilage of the nose. As a result, there is the risk of collapse, or pinching of the nose. An approach in which the structure is respected provides a more predictable and better long-term outcome.
